“In matters of grave importance, style, not sincerity, is the vital thing”
The amazing Earl’s Courtiers, our fantastic local amateur dramatic group, have recorded a new reading, at a safe social distance over Zoom for everyone to enjoy from the comfort of their own home.
The Earl’s Courtiers have performed Oscar Wilde’s wonderful classic “The Importance of Being Earnest” this week, bringing together former cast members from all over the world.
Special thanks to Nick Lansdowne for stepping in at very short notice to play Earnest/Jack so brilliantly!
The plays the Earl’s Courtiers put on aim to develop the blossoming acting skills and talents of our local residents through activities such as acting, costume design and making, as well as staging and administration.
Those involved in the plays have gained a lot of con dence in their abilities and many friendships have resulted, with numerous businesses have been pleased to be associated with the events.
Pro ts from our events are presented to St Cuthbert’s church to update its facilities as a cultural venue.
