ART AND FOOD EVENTS: REFETTORIO FELIX AT ST CUTHBERT’S CENTRE

It’s been a long cold Winter but the new initiative of a regular Monday Night Shelter at Refettorio Felix has ensured a hot meal and bed for up to 38 rough sleepers a week since November. The service may be coming to an end mid-March but it’s now a firm annual commitment.

Also arriving with Spring, alongside the daffodils and promises of warmer weather to come, are two exciting events at Refettorio Felix. We’re thrilled to announce our first Art Exhibition on the evening of 8th April. All the artwork has been created by our clients during their weekly therapeutic art classes, led by in-house art teacher Michael Crossan. Guests will be able to admire – and purchase –  canvases and other creations while enjoying a glass (or two!) of wine and a sumptuous selection of our chef’s homemade canapés; what a lovely way to learn more about what it is we do here.

And on 23rd April it’s the next in the much anticipated Season’s Surplus fundraising series: Spring. What started as a simple conversation between Brett Graham from The Ledbury and us has now turned into a regular event.

Four times a year – spring, summer, autumn and winter, Brett and three equally famous guest chefs, devise a four-course, zero-waste menu from seasonal ingredients, each course paired with champagnes and wines from Liberty Wines. If you’d like to raise money for a very special local charity, whilst eating Michelin star-standard food in a stunning venue, here’s your chance.
